Theme: Assistive & Rehabilitation Technology in an Inclusive Community

What is the Student Design Challenge (SDC)?

The SDC encourages students to find creative and innovative solutions to improve the quality of living of elderly and people with disabilit. There are two categories for the challenge:

1. Design Category - Students are expected to apply User-Centered Design process to produce a concept that makes life easier for its users. Their solution could use any type of technology and result in an improvement to the quality of life, 'make life easier' for its users or enhance the user experience of the solution.

2. Technology Category - Student entries are expected to apply principles in engineering and information technology principles to design and implement Assistive and Rehabilitative Technology solution to address the issues/problems faced by the needy, their caregiver and clinicians.

There are a total of 21 and 18 exhibits in both the Technology and Design Challenge respectively.

Iscout Program for Final Year Project M8 - ICT Classes

Library will be conducting a training for the final year project module M8.  The sessions are broken up into two sessions of 2 hours each.


> The 1st session will start off with teaching the students about information search and citation when they use other author's work, especially work that comes off the internet.  
> The 2nd session is will concentrate on student presentation and giving them feedback on their verbal skills before the milestone status presentation midway through the semester.

Aston Martin Model Cover Look Contest 2012

ASTON MARTIN COVER LOOK CONTEST 2012 is organized for ITE students to search for product ambassadors for a new line of Aston Martin mobile devices. This contest searches for photogenic models and is opened to all 3 colleges. Please nominate your students to take part in this contest and $6000 worth of prizes to be won. We believe that your students have the immerse potential within them and this platform would allow them to shine and enhance route to their success.
So please come down to ITE College East, Atrium, Monday, 23 July 2012, from 11:30am to 1pm, to join in the fun and witness the launch of the contest and registration.
