NDP 2012

Singapore is 47 on this 9th August

College East will be celebrating National Day (Singapore's 47th Birthday) next Wednesday 8th of August. This year's celebration is special because 65 CCAs within College East have come together to make this celebration happen. Some CCAs are providing manpower to run this event. There will be over 20 performances that will cover the spectrum of performing arts at College East. In addition, our CCAs will also be running carnival game stalls. There are many exciting game stalls - shooting games, ball games, racing games, ping pong games, beauty games. Games, Games and more Games! And all FREE and with prizes too!

Apart from Game Stalls, we will also be having retail stalls run by both our students and outside vendors.

Please be advised that Wed 8th Aug is a normal school day with normal scheduled classes starting at 8am as per normal. However, selected classes (CAs will be advised in a separate mail) will be invited to join the National Day Observance Ceremony and Concert at 10am in the Indoor Sports Hall. All staff, students and guests are to be seated by 10.30am (see attached NDC Programme). Our GOH will be Mr Raymond, Advisor to East Coast GRC Grassroots Organisation.

The Observance Ceremony and Concert shall end at 12.15pm, upon which the Carnival (ie Game Stalls, Retail Stalls and additional Performances) will start in the vicinity of the Atrium. Lecturers of classes not involved in the Observance Ceremony & Concert are encouraged to dismiss your classes at 12noon so that your students can enjoy the carnival. The carnival will end at 3pm.

Please be advised that, as this is a normal school day, students must be in school uniform (however, the students who will be manning the Game Stalls are allowed to wear either their CCA uniform or school uniform). Staff and guests are asked to wear red and/or white. The latest ITE white t-shirt with red sides is also acceptable.
